Our Story

Galyen Farms is a 4th generation "sustainable" family farm in Sheridan County, NE. "The Barns" were built sometime before 1930 and have been home to horses, cattle, pigs and sheep. We live a farm to table lifestyle by tending to a large vegetable and herb garden, harvesting pheasant and deer from the land, and raising just enough grass-fed beef to feed the family. We get other fresh products like pork, eggs and honey from neighbor farmers. We believe in simple living,

Larry Galyen was born and raised on the farm. His great grandparents homesteaded the area in 1894. Larry's wife, Deborah, is the inspiration behind renovating the original farmhouse and converting the abandoned barns into a unique, rustic, shabby chic venue. She has years of experience in interior design, construction and hospitality in Colorado Springs, CO and has brought her city passions home to the farm.

Come visit...we'd love to show you around.
